Bus - Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi Airport and Return as at 16^th Oct 2006.
Here is the latest information on the above bus services.  I went to Pattaya Northern Bus Station on Pattaya Nua today and
spoke with the office of Bell Travel Services Co Ltd who are running this service under license from the Government.
The office is in the Bus Station at the top by Bus Park on the right in a separate building.  Busses are new blue and white Air-Con coaches
which look very comfortable.  There is also an air-con waiting room. Email: rrc_bus@hotmail.com 

The lady in the office spoke English and said you will be dropped off at the Airport Terminal Departures Level 4 direct NOT at the Bus Station,
 in the Transportation Centre.  Pick up will be on Level 2 Arrivals Door 10, but please phone 02-747-4673 as you arrive to confirm pick up service is required.

Taxi stands to move to arrivals on 2nd floor after Songkran

Suvarnabhumi airport is preparing to relocate public taxi stands to the second floor of the main airport building, on the same floor as the arrivals terminal, pushing out influential private limousine operators. Suvarnabhumi airport director Serirat Prasutanond said yesterday that taxi stands would move up from the frontal road on the first floor of the passenger terminal to the second floor after the Songkran festival ends on April 17.

Also from the Bangkok Post news last Friday it seems that the three airlines who have moved back to Don Muang, Thai Airways International Domestic, Nok Airlines and One-Two-Go Airlines are having passengers 'flocking back'.   A 20% increase in travellers is the number given and greater satisfaction is the word.  So much so that some Airlines are adding flights to the 140 per day already using the Airport for Domestic flights.  Closer to the City and cheaper Taxis fares without queues at check in desks are the reasons passengers give for liking the old Don Muang/Mueang Airport.

At Terminal Road side level 1 (ground floor but see above) pay 50 baht Airport Tax at desks and 20 waiting with hundreds at Transport Centre
waiting for call up very little queues now.  Fares are as printed guide list.  eg. 1300 baht Pattaya + tolls and tax, metered.
To City approx 300 baht to Silom plus Tolls 70 baht City and 60 baht Pattaya.  Plus Airport surcharge 50 baht.

    Queens Garden Resort is a small resort that's just opened; its about 15 mins. from the airport and it cost me 1,000 Baht for a room (incl. transfer) with aircon and satellite TV. For the cost sensitive traveller this is a great alternative. Thaivisa Bob

    The Louis Tavern Dayrooms Airside are now open at Suvarnabhumi. After one failed attempt to find them, due to a temporary sign pointing in the opposite direction, I finally found them at the far end of concourse G. You have to walk through a long dusty and dirty construction area without any signs of life that will make you think for sure they aren't open yet, but if you reach the end, they are there. They don't have a phone installed yet, so you can't call to reserve a room. The bad news - the rates are much higher than at Don Muang where the price was just barely within the range to consider it acceptable vs. finding other accommodations outside the airport. Rates are as follows:
